Congratulations to Prof. Jia Ye, a KAUST CTL alumna, on being named a 2025 N²Women Rising Star in Computer Networking and Communications.

About

Founded in 2006, N2Women (Networking Networking Women) is a discipline-specific community of researchers in the fields of networking and communications. N2Women encourages diversity and aims at fostering connections among under-represented women in this computing sub-field. Each year, N²Women selects 10 Rising Stars from around the world to honor exceptional women researchers.

Dr. Ye received her Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST), Saudi Arabia, in 2022. Since January 2023, she has been with the School of Electrical Engineering at Chongqing University, where she currently serves as a Professor. Dr. Ye's research scope spans diverse domains, including non-terrestrial network, reconfigurable intelligent surface assisted wireless communication, wireless power transfer, and high-frequency communication. In 2022, she garnered notable acclaim by being named the inaugural recipient of the IEEE Andrea Goldsmith Young Scholars Award, a distinction conferred by the IEEE Communication Theory Technical Committee.

Her selection as a 2025 N²Women Rising Star is a well-deserved recognition of her research accomplishments and growing international visibility. It is also a proud moment for the Communication Theory Lab (CTL) at KAUST, whose alumni continue to make important contributions to the global research community.

Congratulations to Prof. Ye on this outstanding achievement!
