About

After succeeding in the national entrance exam for engineering schools and ranking among the top 2% of students in 2021, Mohamed Melki joined Ecole Polytechnique de Tunisie (EPT), one of the most prestigious engineering schools in Tunisia known for its multidisciplinary training and strong reputation. He specialized in Signals and Systems and completed his Engineering Diploma with first-class honors.

Research Interest 

Mohamed’s scientific interests lie in wireless communication, signal processing, and the application of reinforcement learning methods to model and solve complex communication system problems.

Early Career

Before joining the MS/Ph.D. program at KAUST, he had research experience with KAUST as a visiting student under the supervision of Professor Mohamed-Slim Alouini and Dr Mohammad Shehab working on optimizing the trajectory and operations of an Autonomous Underwater Vehicle (AUV) using reinforcement learning, focusing on simultaneous energy transfer and minimizing the age of information in underwater wireless communication networks.
