Communication Theory Lab Research Group

Professor Mohamed-Slim Alouini leads the CTL research group, which stands for

Communication Theory Lab

The current research group's scientific interests focus on the modeling, design, optimization, and performance analysis of wireless communication systems with a current emphasis on global connectivity, spectrum-sharing, optical wireless communications, and underwater/maritime wireless communication.

The Communication Theory Lab (CTL) activities are mostly centered on addressing the uneven global distribution, access to, and use of information and communication technologies by studying and developing new generations of aerial and space networks and spectrum-sharing schemes as a solution to provide connectivity to rural, low-income, disaster-prone, and hard-to-reach areas.
